Environmental tobacco smoke
There is no safe level of exposure to environmental tobacco smoke and exposure may lead to cancer, heart disease or lung damage.
Persons conducting business and undertakings (PBCUs) must ensure, so far as is reasonably practicable, that workers are not exposed to environmental tobacco smoke while undertaking their work.
Consult with workers
PCBUs must consult with workers about control measures that eliminate risks to health and safety from environmental tobacco smoke so far as is reasonably practicable. If it is not reasonably practicable to eliminate risks to health and safety, minimise those risks so far as is reasonably practicable
