Proof of identity
Proof of identity (POI) is needed when you are applying for a high risk work licence.
You must be able to prove who you are when you apply for a high risk work licence.
You will need to provide at least 2 forms of ID. Some documents you can use include:
- Australian birth certificate
- Australian drivers licence
- Australian passport
- Foreign passport with Australian visa
- Australian Citizenship certificate
- Australian certificate of registration by descent
- ImmiCard
- Aviation and Maritime Security Identification card
- Medicare card
- Centrelink cards
- Pensioner Concession Card
- Health Care Card
- Commonwealth Seniors Health Card
- Veteran gold card
- Veteran pensioner Concession
- Veteran Seniors Health Care Card.
Note: All participants must present a form of Photo ID at the high risk work licence assessment and at Service NSW if this is your first high risk work licence.
Special requirements
Special POI provisions may apply to:
- Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islanders
- school students
- overseas people who have been in Australia for less than six weeks
- correctional centre inmates
