On 31 March 2020 a 25 year old worker was riveting gutter lining on the roof of a building under construction when he fell approx. 6.8 metres through an unsupported section of a guttering line to the concrete slab below, resulting in serious injury.
After a SafeWork NSW investigation the defendant, Parrish Group NSW Pty Ltd, was charged with a breach of 32/19(1) of the Work Health and Safety Act 2011.
On 8 February 2023, the defendant was convicted by the District Court and fined $300,000.
Apex Building Systems Pty Ltd

On and/or between 21 and 23 August 2019 a worker without fall protection, fell approximately 4 metres from an excavation bucket to a slab below and suffered injuries at Vineyard.
After a SafeWork NSW investigation the defendant, Apex Building Systems Pty Ltd, was charged with a breach of section 32/19(1) of the Work Health and Safety Act 2011.
On 8 February 2023, the defendant was convicted by the District Court and fined $180,000.
Prime Metal Roofing Pty Ltd

On 28 February 2019 two workers suffered injuries when they fell approximately 4 meters through a roof while removing asbestos at Moorebank.
After a SafeWork NSW investigation the defendant, Prime Metal Roofing Pty Ltd, was charged with a breach of section 32/19(1) of the Work Health and Safety Act 2011.
On 8 February 2023, the defendant was convicted by the District Court and fined $120,000.

On 11 February 2019, a worker was fatally injured when they were removing a section of metal roof rail, to relocate to another area on the roof when they contacted nearby overhead powerlines at Moorebank.
After a SafeWork NSW investigation the defendant, Prime Metal Roofing Pty Ltd, was charged with a breach of section 32/19(1) of the Work Health and Safety Act 2011.
The defendant was convicted and on 8 February 2023 was fined by the District Court $375,000.
Number One Stone Marble & Granite Pty Ltd

From 3 February 2020 until 3 December 2020, there was a risk of workers of being exposed to the inhalation of RCS and/or acquiring silicosis or other respiratory disease or illness while performing their duties at Padstow.
After a SafeWork NSW investigation the defendant, Number One Stone Marble & Granite Pty Ltd, was charged with a breach of section 33/19(1) of the Work Health and Safety Act 2011.
On 3 February 2023, the defendant was convicted by the Local Court and fined $25,000.
