How we handle your personal information when you provide it to SafeWork NSW through the farm safety training pilot program registration form.

The information being collected as part of the farm safety training pilot program being conducted with Farmsafe Australia using its AgCard training program is only for use by SafeWork NSW for evaluation of the pilot.
No information provided will be used for any other purpose and personal information collected will not be shared with any other organisation or entity.
All data is stored on secure servers with access limited only to staff conducting the evaluation.
1. Privacy statement
This privacy statement explains how SafeWork NSW will collect, use, store and disclose information collected during the evaluation of the pilot.
All information collected will be done so in accordance with the Privacy and Personal Information Protection Act 1998 (NSW (PPIP Act).
2. What information we collect
We may collect personal information including, but not limited to:
- name, postcode, and email address
- age range and demographic details
- employment or professional information, and
- any other information you provide to us directly.
We will only collect personal information that is reasonably necessary for our functions or activities.
3. How we collect information during the pilot
We will only collect information directly from you (e.g. surveys, forms, correspondence) that you agree to be part of.
4. Why we collect and use personal information
We will use personal information for purposes, including:
- evaluating the provision of and improving our services
- communicating with you, and
- meeting legal and regulatory obligations.
We will not use your personal information for purposes other than those for which it was collected unless permitted by law.
5. Storage and security
We take reasonable steps to ensure personal information is:
- stored securely
- protected from loss, misuse, unauthorised access, modification, or disclosure, and
- retained only as long as necessary and in accordance with records management requirements.
All information provided will be deleted at the conclusion of the pilot and evaluation being completed.

We may disclose personal information:
- where required or authorised by law, and
- with your consent.
We do not disclose personal information outside Australia unless permitted under NSW privacy laws.

You have the right to request:
- access to your personal information, and
- correction if the information is inaccurate, incomplete, or out of date

If you believe your privacy has been breached, you may:

- seek an internal review under the PPIP Act.
We will respond to complaints within a reasonable timeframe.
