Elgas Limited

On 10 December 2015, a tanker truck driver and a member of the public sustained serious burns when an LPG gas cylinder exploded during an in situ fill at Muswellbrook.
After a SafeWork NSW investigation, the defendant, Elgas Limited, was charged with breaches of section 32/19(1) and section 32/19(2) of the Work Health and Safety Act 2011.
On 31 March 2021, the defendant was convicted by the District Court and fined $100,000 under section 32/19(1) and $425,000 under section 32/19(2) of the Act.
CCP Remedial Pty Ltd

On 26 July 2017, a worker sustained fatal injuries when he fell approximately 3.2 metres through an unprotected void while he was undertaking waterproofing activities on a roof of a residential property at St Ives.
After a SafeWork NSW investigation, the defendant, CCP Remedial Pty Ltd, was charged with a breach of section 32/19(1) of the Work Health and Safety Act 2011.
On 25 March 2021, the defendant was convicted by the District Court and fined $93,750.
Penrose Pine Products Pty Limited

The offence relates to a failure by the defendant, Penrose Pine Products Pty Limited, to comply with its duty on 19 June 2017 which exposed workers to a risk of serious injury due to the operation of a conveyor connected to a wood chipping machine at the defendant’s timber saw mill at Penrose.
After a SafeWork NSW investigation, the defendant, Penrose Pine Products Pty Limited, was charged with a breach of section 32/19(1) of the Work Health and Safety Act 2011.
On 5 March 2021, the defendant was convicted by the District Court and fined $75,000.
Easy Fall Guttering Pty Limited

On 16 May 2017, a worker suffered injury when he fell approximately 2 metres from a makeshift ladder platform to the ground while installing new roof guttering, at Kangaroo Point.
After a SafeWork NSW investigation, the defendant, Easy Fall Guttering Pty Limited, was charged with breaches of sections 32/19(1), 38(1) and 46 of the Work Health and Safety Act 2011.
On 5 March 2021, the defendant was convicted by the District Court and fined $225,000 for the section 32/19(1) offence, $30,000 for the section 38(1) offence, and $30,000 for the section 46 offence.

On 21 November 2016, a worker sufferedelectric shock and second degree burns when the 6 metre length of copper pipe he was holding came into contact with energised power lines while standing on a balcony, at Kogarah.
After a SafeWork NSW investigation, the defendant, Kayrouz Constructions Pty Limited, was charged with a breach of section 32/19(1) of the Work Health and Safety Act 2011.
On 3 March 2021, the defendant was convicted by the District Court and fined $60,000.
Better Truck Repairs Pty Ltd

On 9 February 2018, a worker sustained serious injuries when an excavator bucket slipped off the tynes of a forklift and rolled on the floor, coming in contact with the worker at South Windsor.
After a SafeWork NSW investigation, the defendant, Better Truck Repairs Pty Ltd, was charged with a breach of section 32/19(1) of the Work Health and Safety Act 2011.
On 3 March 2021, the defendant was convicted by the District Court and fined $75,000.
