SafeWork NSW is partnering with Weld Australia and TAFE NSW to deliver a free, practical, hands-on event focused on protecting workers from hazardous welding fumes.

This session will help you understand your WHS obligations and the control measures available to meet these requirements. It will also showcase equipment and systems designed to reduce exposure and improve workplace safety, including:

  • on-gun fume extraction systems
  • hooded capture extraction units
  • welding helmets with Powered Air Purifying Respirators (PAPR).

Speakers include:

  • Bruce Cannon, Principal Welding Engineer, Weld Australia
  • Michael Weller, State Inspector, SafeWork NSW
