SafeWork NSW and Unions NSW are coming together for another year to deliver refresher training to health and safety representatives (HSRs) working in NSW.
The day has been designed to provide the most up-to-date information on how HSRs can have a real impact in safeguarding their workplace in their critical role as an HSR. You will also have the opportunity to network with fellow HSRs and share experiences.

- Gain an understanding of work health and safety (WHS) legislation, and how it applies to your role as elected HSRs.
- Find out more about your powers under the WHS legislation to issue Provisional Improvement Notices (PINS) and direct unsafe work to cease.
- Receive the latest updates and insights on workplace consultation and safety standards.
Eligibility
To take part in the training you must:
- be an elected HSR or deputy HSR, and
- have completed the HSR five-day training by an approved training provider.
