Manufacturing safety group terms of reference
The purpose of the Manufacturing Safety Group (MSG) is to provide a free-to-attend education and networking forum to help the manufacturing industry improve safety
MSGs are open to anyone in the manufacturing industry looking to take greater ownership of WHS improvement initiatives. Small businesses who attend may be eligible for the $1000 Small Business Rebate, which can go towards the purchase and installation of safety equipment.
SafeWork NSW seeks to provide WHS leadership to the manufacturing industry by working with MSG attendees to reduce fatalities, and serious injuries and illnesses within the manufacturing sector.
The purpose of the MSG is achieved by:
- Identifying priority manufacturing specific work health and safety (WHS) risks, issues, trends and concerns.
- Sharing and actively promoting safety solutions for manufacturing workplaces to adopt.
- Developing and sharing manufacturing WHS resources and practical solutions to address high impact safety concerns with MSG attendees to use in their workplaces.
- Focussing on building and embedding a health and safety landscape.
