The Enforceable Undertakings (EU) Guidelines have been updated following a comprehensive review by an external consultant in 2017, involving targeted consultation with key stakeholders (internal and external). These guidelines commenced January 2018.
The new guidelines outlined our approach when considering an application for an EU, including the policy and practical matters. They also provide some high level information around the process of making an application for an EU.
The new guidelines introduce two assessment stages. The first stage is an ‘eligibility’ assessment to decide if an EU is an appropriate enforcement measure, and the second stage is an ‘evaluation’ assessment of the merit of an EU proposal.Back to top
