WorkCover NSW, NSW Farmers Association, Department of Primary Industries (DPI) and Local Land Services (LLS) are holding a combined Small Machinery Field Day at Moss Vale on Saturday 20 June to promote greater awareness about the importance of farm safety.

“The NSW agricultural industry is one of the State’s highest risk industries, so it is important to provide skills and information on the risks and issues associated with farm work to improve the safety of farmers and farm workers,” WorkCover’s Team Manager Bill McColl said.

“These events give local landowners and farmers a chance to get free advice, update skills and access to information on the current safety practices and information relevant to them.”

The Small Machinery Field Day is a FREE event for local landowners, farmers, farm workers, and young future farmers.

The day includes talks, workshops and demonstrations, and a chance for farmers to engage with industry experts on general farm safety. It is also an opportunity to meet local representatives from NSW Farmers, DPI, LLS and WorkCover.

The day includes talks, workshops and demonstrations on general farm safety, use of equipment, safer farm handling practices, and quad bike safety demonstrations.
