Every small business in NSW has a responsibility to provide a safe and healthy workplace - including both physical and psychological wellbeing. It’s good business sense leading to higher productivity and reduced sick leave and staff turnover.

If you're a small business owner looking to better understand psychosocial safety at work, this introductory seminar is designed for you.

Join SafeWork NSW inspectors as they break down what psychosocial risks look like in real workplaces and how you can proactively identify, manage and reduce them.

Gain practical guidance on your legal obligations, your role in supporting workers’ mental health, where work re-design can assist in managing risks and how to consult effectively with your team about psychosocial hazards. The session includes an overview of free tools, templates and resources available to support you in creating a safer, more supportive workplace.

This seminar covers:

  • what psychosocial hazards are and how they impact workers
  • how to identify, assess and manage psychosocial risks
  • your responsibilities as a small business owner
  • how to consult with workers about mental health and safety
  • practical steps to meet your legal obligations
  • Work re-design to manage psychosocial risks
  • free resources and tools available from SafeWork NSW.

Whether starting to explore psychosocial safety or looking to strengthen your current approach, this session will give you the essential knowledge and confidence to take action.
