Strategic business plan 2018-19

The Strategic business plan outlines our priorities for 2018-19. Our four focus areas are:

  • enabling NSW workplaces to create a health and safety landscape within their workplaces
  • preventing harm by focusing on priority sectors, harms, workers and workplaces
  • improving our regulatory approach by being exemplar and providing innovative services
  • supporting our people and building capability

We work in partnership with other NSW regulators, to deliver a significant improvement in the ease of doing business in NSW.

We want to build collaborative and constructive relationships with peak bodies, associations, the community and the employers and workers of NSW.

We've reviewed and revised the Work health and safety roadmap 2022. The roadmap is a six year strategy that aims to protect workers from harm, reduce unnecessary compliance costs and secure safety standards in NSW workplaces. The Strategic business plan aligns with the roadmap and shares targets and actions.

We will review the plan at the end of June 2019 and an update will be released for 2019-20 to continue our journey towards 2022.

Our approach to WHS Regulation
