Who we are
Your information is being collected and held by SafeWork NSW Agency. SafeWork NSW gives priority to protecting the privacy of your personal information, in accordance with the Privacy and Personal Information Protection Act 1998 (PPIP Act).

Why we collect your personal information
This form is part of a new Safework process to identify unsafe farming practices portrayed in the media and help educate the creators and publishers of this content about the importance of showing farm practices conducted in the safest way possible.
SafeWork NSW is collecting your personal information for the purposes of allowing our interventions team to contact and ascertain any additional information about the content of your submission to ensure an accurate review and effective response. We will also notify you of the outcome of your submission and Safework’s review.
The provision of personal information is voluntary and will not be used for any other purpose than that described above.
The kinds of information we collect
We may collect the following information:
- your name (if you choose to provide this)
- your email address (if you choose to provide this)
- mobile phone number (if you choose to provide this)
- any additional personal information if it is provided in free-text fields, attachments or included in your submission.
Failure to provide information
Your information is provided voluntarily however if you choose not to provide your information, we will be unable to notify you of the outcome of your submission.
How we may use this information
We may use the information we collect in the following ways:
- Internal administrative purposes, including liaising with you in relation to your submission and in relation to compliance, , and enforcement of the Work Health and Safety Act 2011 and Work Health and Safety Regulation 2025.
- To support more informed policy making, program management, evaluation, research, and service planning as it can facilitate more efficient service delivery for residents and business in NSW.
- Other directly related purposes.
Who we may share your information with
We will not disclose your information to anybody else unless we are authorised or permitted to do so by law or where you have given consent. For further information, please see our privacy statement.
Protecting your information
We will store and manage your information in accordance with the provisions of the PPIP Act. We have measures in place to help protect your personal information from loss, unauthorised access, use, modification, disclosure, or other misuse.
We will only keep information for as long as we need it to fulfil the purposes we collected it for. After which, the information will be disposed of securely in accordance with the State Records Act 1998 and any other applicable legislation.
