Pre-WHS legislation codes of practice

These codes of practice were developed based on the Occupational Health and Safety Act and Regulation (or older laws), however they are current and can still be used as evidence of what is known about a hazard or risk, and what is reasonably practicable.

To ensure you comply with your legal obligations you must refer to the appropriate legislation. The ‘Accommodation for rural agricultural work code of practice’ is made under the Rural Workers Accommodation Act 1969. All other codes listed below are taken to have been made under the Work Health and Safety Act 2011.
